About

I have been interested in photography since I was 16. I started out by sneaking into small gigs and taking with me a little point and shoot camera, shooting anything interesting that I could get away with. This continued for two years until I recieved my first DSLR, my old faithful 300D (which is still working, several years later!).

I went on tour with the then infamous Australian band Machine Gun Fellatio as their photographer when I turned 18, on what would turn out to be their final tour before breaking up. I went along the whole East Coast, experiencing a little slice of life on the road.

I had most of the next year off photography due to an almost fatal medical incident. Then came The Red Paintings. I attended and shot several of their shows through NSW and was asked by their lead singer to be their photographer for their tour with US duo The Dresden Dolls.

After the tour I moved up to Brisbane, where for the next two years, I became involved in several photographic endeavours, including more work for The Red Paintings. I also began shooting local cabaret and burlesque acts on a regular basis, worked with the fantastic Deep Blue Orchestra, and also expanded my repertoire to include more portrait work, landscapes and street photography. Through all of 2008 I was also heavily involved in music photography, working most weekends for FasterLouder.com.au

At the end of 2008 I was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma, and moved back to Sydney for seven months of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I'm now in remission and am looking to get back into my photography, just like before.

Outside of photography you might find me either playing my ukuleles or bass, travelling, reading, and photographing random things.
